Meet Jack
Our Heart Warrior
We found out Jack had a congenital heart defect (CHD) called Tricuspid Atresia when he was 25 weeks in-utero. This condition is not curable, but it is treatable with a series of surgeries. He has been a miracle baby since birth. The plan was to rush him to Cincinnati Children's Hospital as soon as he was born. However, our little dude had other plans! He was calm as can be and very stable, allowing me time to hold my precious newborn (and his twin sister)!

Originally he was scheduled to have a PA band surgery at 1 week of life, but once again, he had other plans. The doctors said he would have to have the perfect amount of stenosis to forego the surgery. Wouldn't you know it, he did!! Our little miracle baby came through again!

He ate well and gained weight for the first 4 months of life and on January 9th, 2020, he went in for his Glenn Procedure. He was discharged just 5 days later and has been recovering beautifully ever since.

Our journey as a twin family, and as a heart warrior family, has been filled with many emotions. Jack has been put on this planet for some divine reason and I hope his story helps any other parent, child, or family member of a CHD heart warrior.
